Templars Inn / A Message from Templar
« on: December 12, 2017, 11:59:32 AM »
In the next 2 weeks the e-templars site will change into the TLords Commemoration website.

Since February this year I'm co-founder of OBEC, which is a dedicated Star Citizen clan. There is no point is keeping TLords alive because none of the old members is active anymore.

To me OBEC and Star Citizen is the future. I'm not going to push you into a new game because there is no use but if you want a new game with a familiair name, I'm here. The legacy will continue.

This forum will be removed in 2018.

Merry Christmas  :)

The world has changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost. For none now live who remember it. It began with the decline of X-Wing Alliance and Star Wars Galaxies. It went on when we moved to Lord of the Rings Online.

But we were all deceived and TLords entered its almost final decline. Darkness crept back into the forests of the world. Rumour grew of a shadow, whispers of a nameless fear and Murgen perceived the time to revive TLords had now come.

The game of games is nearing a phase you need to witness; this year Star Citizen will become the world you want to enter … enter it with the TLords.

Star Citizen / Time to start thinking about your path into SC
« on: March 17, 2016, 09:20:39 AM »
Having the highest mileages in Star Citizen I have thoughts about the game.

First of all, you do not need to fight, you can hit cruise speed and try to jump out as fast as you can. An explorer or freighter has more chance to survive on the run then in a battle. Also, a freighter owner wants as much cargo-hold and fuel capacity as he can get where an Explorer wants advanced jump and scan equipment, large fuel capacity and a cargo hold to put findings in. Yes, it is this advanced and trust me, you will run out of Quantum fuel faster then you think. In XPLOR we already see a large role for refuel and repair ships. Check the Starmap at https://robertsspaceindustries.com/starmap  Find Crusader and there is the first area unlocked for alpha testers.

By flying, talking, looking into the game I'm convinced I will spent a lot of time in my Constellation and/or Freelancer to explore. I have not yet decided if I will convert both ships to the Explorer version. The Connie Phoenix is luxurious and a perfect home where the Freelancer MIS has a lot of defense capabilities, however, less fuel capacity. The Hornet Ghost, a perfect ship for infiltration and spy missions has no cargo hold, therefore it is not suitable for mini exploration. I'm convinced many player will revamp or melt their current fleet to built their ultimate fleet. I see many of my ships as goodies to trade in. http://www.xplor.today/fleet/user/2062

I just hope my gunship, the Redeemer gets a nice purpose ... it is a beast.

In the locked forum I posted all info on new and free tools to support mutli player gaming. If you want a peek, register on this forum and state your business in this topic.

Tools will not be public because they are distributed by XPLOR and very useful. Even SC dev's use them.

Star Citizen / Star Citizen, an Introduction
« on: February 05, 2016, 12:07:28 PM »
Star Citizen is a huge galaxy where everything is possible.

Star Citizen will consist of two main components: first-person space combat, first-person shooter elements and trading in a massively multiplayer persistent universe and customizable private servers, and a branching single-player and drop-in co-operative multiplayer campaign (titled Squadron 42). The game is built on a modified CryEngine and will feature Oculus Rift support.

Both Star Citizen and Squadron 42 are set in a 30th-century Milky Way, centered around the fictional UEE (United Empire of Earth), an analogue of the late Roman Empire. A central theme of the game is citizenship (or lack thereof) in the UEE, which must be earned through player actions (such as completing a period of military service). It is anticipated that Citizens will enjoy certain in-game benefits, for example paying a reduced tax rate or having easier access to interspecies trade, but the exact details are yet to be determined.

A strong focus will be placed on player interaction, with player behavior influencing and being influenced by a dynamic economy system.

Star Citizen is currently being developed by Chris Roberts' Cloud Imperium Games, founded in 2011. Roberts' previous works include games such as Wing Commander, Wing Commander: Privateer, Starlancer and Freelancer.

Game development slowed because of increased objectives and currently (Q1 2016) the first part of the seamless Verse is playable in Alpha 2.1.2. Fans expect the game reach full potential end of 2017, early 2018.

Templars Inn / Tribute to David Bowie - 11-01-2016
« on: January 11, 2016, 02:31:16 PM »
Tonight I will log into Star Citizen Alpha PTU 2.1d, take my ship up and leave it for an spacewalk with Major Tom as music in the background.

I will miss Bowie, the strange and gloomy Black Star and Lazarus video clips make a lot of sense now.

"This is Major Tom to Ground Control
I'm stepping through the door
And I'm floating in a most the peculiar way
And the stars look very different today
For here
Am I sitting in a tin can
Far above the world
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do"
